Together with TIS Technische Informationssysteme GmbH, Lebbing organized its third blood donation drive. Once again, the initiative was held in cooperation with the German Red Cross (DRK) and addressed all companies located in the Technology Park in Bocholt to take part.
A total of 31 employees responded to the call to donate blood. Following the required medical screening, 21 participants were eligible to donate. As in previous years, attendees also had the opportunity to register as stem cell donors with DKMS, and several participants took advantage of this opportunity.
Blood Donations are important
Blood donations are especially important during the summer months, as blood supplies often decline during the vacation season. A single blood donation can help save up to three lives, as the donated blood is separated into its individual components. Hence, it can be used to support a wide range of medical treatments, including surgeries, emergency care, and cancer treatment.
We are proud that so many colleagues from Lebbing and the nearby companies participated in this year's donation drive. The strong response highlights the commitment to social responsibility shared by the companies at the Bocholt Technology Park. The German Red Cross team also looks back with positive thoughts.
