Lebbing´s first self-developed printing system is delivered

In December a switchgear container including a completely pre-wired drive and control system for a new four-color gravure printing system for decor #paper went on its way to our sister company #KLSF in Laußig, Germany. The first #printing system developed and built by #Lebbing itself will be set up for test purposes and afterwards pre-commissioned in April. Once we have completed all test to the satisfaction of our customer @LamiGraf, it will be shipped to its final destination in Spain.

The new machine impresses with a production line speed of 400m/min and a working width of 1,230 mm to 2,250 mm. It is particularly remarkable that both the register control and the drive control have been implemented in a single PLC and that the automatic paper feed can be carried out without intermediate operator intervention. Furthermore, the machine has just one main visualization that contains all the operating screen of the different sub-suppliers. The creation of such a customer-friendly interface was carried out in close cooperation with the corresponding companies.

Great teamwork was the main driver behind the successful start of this project:

  • #Lebbing worked out the overall electrical design and mechanical construction of the rotogravure printing units,
  • #KLSF provided the winder,
  • and @Jagenberg Converting Solutions handled the overall project management.

We are very pleased with the outcome of the project engineering phase and are certain, #Lamigraf will be as well!
