Siempelkamp Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH

Dr. Andreas Wieners

Mr. Lauer and his team not only quickly familiarize themselves with the special peripheral areas of our topics, but also provide us with valuable information on how to find cost-effective solutions that take account of liability issues. That pays off!

Dr. Andreas Wieners,
Technology Management, Siempelkamp Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH

The machinery and plants business unit is one of three business units of the Siempelkamp Group. More than 130 years ago, the foundation stone for the globally successful company was laid here. Press systems and complete plants for the wood-based products and rubber industry and for metal forming are developed at their location in. Siempelkamp offers development, calculation, design, manufacturing, assembly and commissioning from one source.

Dr. Andreas Wieners: “We deliver all our machines and systems with comprehensive safety documentation. Our conformity assessments must take into account the provisions of the Machinery Directive, ATEX, EMC and Pressure Equipment Directive. Because our machines and systems are operated by people, safety is of particular importance to us.

On the other hand, we must obtain legal protection so that we are not exposed to incalculable insurance risks in the event of a reportable accident. Therefore our machines must be safe and our risk assessments must not contain any weaknesses or errors. This is what makes the demands we place on Lauer CE-Safety GmbH and the competence in this company so particularly high.

What I also really appreciate about the cooperation is the proactive thinking of Mr. Lauer’s team. From the ongoing work on the documentation, they identify and evaluate weak points with external competence. They develop and discuss approaches to solutions that really move us forward. My positive opinion has been absolutely confirmed by the cooperation for Siempelkamp. Of course, we will continue to work with them and can recommend them to anyone who wants an optimal risk assessment.”
